Many people are amazed at the life and colour found in the seas. While others are fascinated in searching and exploring for evidence of man’s passing, bringing up many remains of ancient civilizations to fill the gaps in our knowledge of the ancient world. For some, the sensation of moving without weight through water is undoubtedly pleasurable and the novelty will take a long time for it to wear off.
Diving is not restricted only to coastal sites or the seas. One may explore fresh water locations such as rivers or lakes that offer quite a different nature.
It is an activity that can be undertaken and enjoyed by practically anybody. It offers you fun and adventure and in return you need to learn to respect the safety rules and accept a degree of responsibility towards your buddy divers. Diving is not a solitary pursuit, it is always safer and more enjoyable when shared with others.
In any adventure sports, there is an element of risk, however in diving, this risk is reduced to acceptable limits if you learn to observe the basic safety disciplines and accept the need of sound training from qualified personnel.
Scuba diving is a fascinating challenge but do remember to respect the sea, ensure that you properly trained for the dive that your plan, equip yourself properly and maintain a level of fitness that allow you to enjoy your diving with confidence!
